Speed Group signs 10-year agreement with Logicenters.

Speed Group has signed a 10-year lease agreement with Logicenters in respect of a logistics centre initially 38 000 square meters will be built on the New part of Viared, just outside Borås.

Logicenters will start the construction of the new logistics centre before the end of the year. The property will be ready for occupancy August 1, 2018 and will then have the best sign exposure along highway 40.

Speed Group is currently one of the leading logistics operators in southwest of Sweden, primarily Borås area and Gothenburg.

Right now, we have a huge rate of growth, which we are incredibly proud of, says Peter Nilsson, CEO of Speed Group. We currently have a high demand from the customers, which increases our need of logistics space dramatically. Logicenters have managed to meet, not only our needs of more logistics space, but also the demands we have on the right location geographically and “sustainable” buildings. We look forward to another 10 years as a partner to Logicenters.

Logicenters is a leading provider of modern logistics properties in the Nordic region with presence in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland with over 1 million square meter logistics space.

It is gratifying that a large logistics operator as Speed Group will enter additional agreements with Logicenters. It strengthens our position in the market and we look forward to developing our cooperation, together with the company. We are now in the final stage of the buying process and expect to be able to start construction before the end of this year, " says Mattias Kettelhoit, Commercial Head of Logicenters.

City of Borås has worked hard for quite some time to promote the growth in the logistics area in the municipality. Our efforts developing Viared has received great interest from the business community, says Anders Glemfelt, economic development director in the Borås municipality. It is very positive that we can create the conditions for Speed Group, with its headquarters in Borås, to continue to expand and generate even more work opportunities.
