Green warehousing - what we promise.

Green Warehousing – the symbol for green logistics.

Green Warehousing is simply green logistics. We set high standards for our operations in order to get the sustainability label, requirements are followed up, evaluated, and sharpened as we go. All in order to assure you, as a customer that your warehouse solution is sustainable – for the environment and people. Explore what is required to count as Green Warehousing.

CO2 neutral operations.

Our operations will reduce annual greenhouse gas emissions in line with the 1.5°C target. By 2025, we will be completely CO2 neutral.

We only use green electricity.

At one of our warehouse facilities in Borås, we have installed the largest solar panel plant in the Nordic region, and we are looking into similar solutions for our other warehouse facilities as well. Because that’s how we think – where we are, we should be able to produce enough electricity for ourselves and leave a surplus for others. All lighting in our warehouses is LED. 40% of the trucks are powered by Lithium-Ion batteries, and by 2025 we are aiming for 100%. All electricity purchased for the operations comes from solar, wind, or hydropower.

Sustainable transportations.

We are in active dialogue with our customers and suppliers about how we can be a part of the transition towards more environmentally friendly transports. By 2023, all our vehicles will be powered by electric or electric hybrid engines.

Resource management and recycling.

We have set hard targets for recycling of waste. At least 75% of all waste will become new raw materials and no more than 1% can end up in a landfill. Waste for recycling is compressed, to save as much as possible on transportations and emissions.

Sustainable working clothes.

An environmentally sustainable garment is one that is used for a long time while maintaining quality. Therefore, quality and reuse are important to us. We repair broken clothes as much as possible. At least 25% of the coarser clothes that our employees use should be recycled. As soon as we have good alternatives, we will switch to workwear made from organic cotton and recycled fibers.
