As early as 1913, Didriksons began manufacturing clothes, then work clothes for all fishermen in the small community of Grundsund on the west coast. The basic idea, to manufacture functional, durable garments that keep the wearer dry and warm in all weathers, has been maintained throughout the years. In recent years, the company's growth rate has increased and today there is simply no room in its own facilities. Therefore, the company has now chosen to outsource the logistics for the Kids part of the range.
- We need a flexible logistics solution where our biggest challenge is seasonal variations, says Herman Roos, COO at Didriksons. Speed presented the most attractive and cost-effective solution, and we immediately felt great confidence in their competence and experience. We already use Speed as a supplier for staffing and it works great, which makes it feel really good to also put parts of our logistics with them. We have high hopes for a really close collaboration and that we can develop together.
In April, Didriksons will move into Speed's logistics facility in Arendal, Gothenburg. The company's retailers, own stores and end consumers around the world will receive goods delivered just in time for the start of the high season.
- It's incredibly exciting to welcome Didriksons to us on the logistics side as well, says Johan Appelkvist, Business Development Manager at Speed. It's a great company and I'm looking forward to a rewarding collaboration where we can take their logistics to the next level together.
