Sustainability is one of our key drivers, and we constantly work to develop solutions that reduce our environmental impact. In 2024, we took another step on that journey by implementing Circular IT in collaboration with Tele2.
Through this initiative, we ensure that all our IT-related equipment – including cables, monitors, computers, handheld devices, scanners, and printers – is recycled or reused responsibly. This means fully functional equipment can be given a second life through reuse, while worn-out units are handled according to the highest environmental standards. In this way, we not only reduce electronic waste but also contribute to a more circular economy where resources are used more efficiently.
Thinking sustainably in every part of our business is a given for us at Speed. We’ve already taken major steps through initiatives such as solar panel installations and climate-smart logistics solutions. Now we complement these with a smarter way to manage IT, in line with our goal to reduce our climate impact and use resources more responsibly.
Ellectronics is one of the fastest-growing waste streams in the world, and producing new IT equipment requires large amounts of energy and raw materials. By extending the lifespan of our devices and ensuring they are recycled properly, we contribute to more sustainable technology consumption.
