Speed signs new billion SEK contract with Ericsson.

Written by Speed | December 10, 2024

PRESS RELEASE: After a thorough procurement process, Ericsson has chosen to give Speed Group renewed confidence to operate and develop the company's logistics hub in Borås. The new contract runs for eight years and is worth at least SEK 2.5 billion SEK.

The contract covers logistics and production services and was won in tough competition with the industry's largest players. The new agreement is based on increased automation to future-proof Ericsson's solution.

     - Speed is our largest hub and also among those in the world that deliver the absolute highest quality and delivery precision. This has been a decisive factor for us when we now choose to renew the cooperation with Speed, says Alessandro Calzuola, Head of Supply Hub Europe at Ericsson.

     - I am extremely proud that we, in the toughest possible competition, are the first choice for Ericsson. It is a great acknowledgment that we do a really good job, but also of our close cooperation. We have had the privilege of working with Ericsson since 2010 and now we look forward to working together to take their solution to the next level, says Jesper Andersson, CEO of Speed.

The agreement will take effect on July 1, 2025. The operations will continue to be run from Speed’s facility in Borås.
