Speed has been named the winner of the Stora Hållbarhetspriset 2022. Sustainable development is based on three dimensions: environment, people and economy. The prize is awarded to a company that, through strategic sustainability work, does good in all three of these areas and shows great commitment and initiative in sustainable development.
On Thursday, the Stora Hållbarhetspriset was awarded to the winner Speed, one of Sweden's largest logistics and staffing companies. Speed was honored by a visit from some of the jury to present the company with a diploma, statuette and flowers as well as the prize money of SEK 100,000, to be used for the company's continued sustainability work.
- It is fantastic fun and honorable to win an award like the Great Sustainability Award and a fine receipt that the sustainability focus we have makes a difference, says Jesper Andersson, CEO of Speed. Sustainability permeates everything we do and it's great to see that employees in all departments are thinking about it. The award will create pride within Speed and encourage everyone to continue the important work.
Speed is named as the winner with the motivation;
With a clear environmental focus at the center of the customer dialogue and with the Nordic region's largest solar cell plant on the roof, this year's award winner is growing like crazy. The recipient of the Great Sustainability Prize 2022 aims to beCO2-neutral by 2025. As a supplier to this year's winner, companies must meet requirements for more sustainable materials, energy solutions, transportation and workwear. Through small and large initiatives, the winner makes a difference and shows that ecological, social and economic responsibility can go hand in hand. As a winner, the prize winner wants to support innovations in the environment and contribute to a safer community where children and young people get a fair chance. For long-term and determined sustainability work, the jury awards the Stora Hållbarhetspriset to Speed Group.
The Stora Hållbarhetspriset was established in 2021 by Borås Näringsliv, the University of Borås, the City of Borås and Sparbanken Sjuhärad through its owner foundation with the aim of inspiring and encouraging sustainable development that generates growth.
Members of the jury for the Stora Hållbarhetspriset presented Speed with a diploma at the head office in Borås,
