We meet Albin Risne, who works in the control tower. From there, he coordinates customers’ transports from door to door. Albin is one of the amazing colleagues who make us Speed.

Keeping Track in the Control Tower.

In Mölndal, just outside Gothenburg, hundreds of shipments of various goods are managed every day—coming from and going to all corners of the world. One of the team members working with Transport Management and ensuring everything runs smoothly for customers is Albin. He works in what’s called the control tower.

     - From here, we manage the entire transport flow for our customers. They send us booking requests, and we find the best possible and most cost-effective transport solution. We book and then monitor the transport from start to finish, taking care of everything that happens along the way, says Albin Risne, Business Support at Speed.

Issues Along the Way are Part of the Job.

A transport doesn’t always go from A to B without a hitch—lots can happen. It could be a cancellation from the carrier, a delay, goods going astray, or arriving damaged, and so on. These are things that take time to resolve.

     - We handle everything! That means the customer reduces their workload while we, through our procurement, can lower their transport costs. For customers, it’s like having their cake and eating it too!

Juggling Many Tasks Requires High Stress Tolerance.

Emails pour in, and the phone rings often. You need to stay on top of things and handle stressful situations.

     - There’s always something to tackle—and I love that! I always strive to go the extra mile, and by doing so, I learn new things while making sure customers are satisfied from start to finish. The more I know, the better service I can provide.

Recently, Albin has had the chance to dive deeper into financial details, something he’s learned quickly and that has given him an even better understanding of the flows he manages daily.

     - That’s the best part of this job—getting to grow and learn new things. Plus, working closely with great colleagues and feeling that together we create value for our customers.
