Speed adopts two bays in Bohuslän and supports young entrepreneurs.

Plastic in our oceans is one of the biggest environmental issues of our time. Every hour, the equivalent of five bathtubs of plastic is washed up on the coast of Bohuslän. 94% of seabirds in the North Sea have plastic in their stomachs, and millions of marine animals die every year due to plastic pollution. If the trend continues, it is expected that there will be more plastic than fish in the oceans by 2050.
As a logistics partner, we are part of global flows and therefore part of the solution. That's why Speed has partnered with CleanSea, an organisation working to reduce plastic in our oceans.
Through the collaboration, we have adopted two bays in Bohuslän: Stånge Huvud and Norra Öckerö. This means that these areas will be cleaned of plastic and litter several times a year. Together, we expect to remove hundreds of kilograms of plastic from the coast every year - a tangible contribution to a cleaner ocean and a healthier planet.
Why are we doing this?
Sustainability is not just a word for us; it is part of our responsibility. We want to contribute to a sustainable and cleaner world, where resources are harnessed and the ocean remains full of life. By supporting CleanSea, we are taking a concrete step towards reducing plastic pollution and protecting biodiversity.
Entrepreneurship that changes the world.
Speed is an entrepreneurial company, and we believe in the power of new ideas. CleanSea is an inspiring example. The company was created in 2019 by twins Mikaela and Lukas as a UF-project and has grown into an organisation that makes a real difference for the environment. Through our collaboration, we are not only supporting the marine environment, but also young entrepreneurs who dare to innovate and act for a better future. It feels really good!
