Speed chooses to streamline its operations.

Speed Group’s growth lies within the logistics sector, and to streamline its operations, the company has now chosen to divest its staffing solutions business to the recruitment firm NearYou. This change means that Speed will henceforth fully focus on logistics and transport solutions.

– To have a staffing operation has been an important part of our origins, but the benefits have diminished as the conditions for staffing companies have changed. Increasing the level of automation in our logistics operations also means that we can now handle volume fluctuations more easily than before. The most important aspect of this process has been finding someone who can take care of our customers and employees in the best possible way – both in the short and long term – and in NearYou, we have truly found a partner with the right capabilities to do so,” says Hans Sahlin, CEO of Speed.

The divested part includes staffing, recruitment, and training. NearYou already operates similar services and sees the acquisition as both a complement and a reinforcement.

It’s a great company that we are now taking over and integrating into our existing operations. We look forward to welcoming both customers and employees,” says Magnus Fridebo, CEO of NearYou.

The business will be fully integrated into NearYou’s existing structure, including the takeover of customers and staff, and will be operated as part of the regular business. The transaction is subject to approval by the Swedish Competition Authority and is therefore expected to be completed during the fourth quarter of 2025.
